Who is Mary Fran?

I have had a life-long passion for art & design. I was an avid painter and dancer at 5.  I wanted to be the next Coco Chanel at 12 and I have wanted to be fabulous since forever.

I earned my BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in French Commercial Studies with a concentration in International Marketing. I speak three and a half languages (French, German, English and a bit of Portuguese). And, after putting my degree to use and working as a Translator, I decided that my passion truly did lie in the design field.

I returned to College of DuPage to work on a post-bac certificate in Advanced Graphic Design. While in school I worked as a contract web designer for Ed Wiley & Associates where I worked on all aspects of web design, development and search engine optimization.  In 2009 recently founded Purple Crayon Web Studio in hopes of making the web a more beautiful place.
