Who is Mary Fran?

Hi! I’m Mary Fran. I earned a BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in French Commercial Studies with a concentration in International Marketing.

In 2009 I founded Purple Crayon Web Studio in hopes of making the web a more beautiful place.

In 2010, I took on full time employment as the Creative Manager at Illini Media Company (the publisher of The Daily Illini, the217.com, buzz, wpgu & Technograph). I oversee the creative department and get to train college students for their future careers.

I also write the gluten free blog frannycakes (both founded in 2010) as an outlet for an overly active hobby streak.
