I need a new favicon.

It’s true.  The current one does not match the site at all. I forgot about that when I re-did the site.  I would never forget to design one for a client site but somehow, I didn’t make one for me.  Oh well.

Wait, what needs to be changed?  The favicon is that little teeny tiny image at the corner of your browser tab or that appears with a link that you have bookmarked.  It is a little nugget of identity, a crucial (yet itsy bitsy) brand reinforcer. Not to mention it makes Google happy.  And really, 50% of web design is making Google happy.  (Usability, readability, accessibility those all make Google happy, and website users too).  (The rest is making sure Internet Explorer doesn’t kill your site and that my mom can figure it out, but those are for a different post).

And now, I have to pour my creativity into a 16px by 16px canvas.  That tiny little icon is crucial.  And I blew it.  On my own site no less.  From now on, it is added to the check list!

Check back in a few days to see what I come up with at 3am!
